Course Information Sheet
Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, and AP Statistics

Assignments:  Work assigned in class will be started in class and finished for homework to be due the next day.  Your grade for each assignment will be based on notes (3 points), work done in class (2 points), and the completion of that assignment at home for the next day (5 points).  Expect homework everyday.

Tests:  Tests will be announced ahead of time.  No test or quizzes will be given without notice.  You will have either a test or a quiz about once a week.  You will be allowed to retake chapter tests when all homework for that chapter was completed on time.  If a chapter test is retaken, the new recorded grade will be an average of the old and new test.

Folders:  Folders will be due at the end of each six-week period.  They should be in a three-hole paper folder and items should be organized by area (HW, Test, and Quizzes) and in chronological order.  The course information sheet should be the first paper in your folder along with a self-maintained progress report.  Your folder will be graded acceptable or unacceptable and will count as a small amount of extra credit if a students grade is border line...59,69,79,89.

Grades:  Tests will comprise 90% of your final grade
Homework and folder will be the remaining 10%

Absences:  Students are responsible for getting missed work.  The time allowed for making up work will be the same number of days that you are absent.  If you are absent the day before an announced test you must take the test on the scheduled day with the rest of the class.  If you are absent the day of a test, it must be made up the next day.

Extra help is available Monday though Wednesday after school in my room unless noted in class.  Tutors are also available if you contact your guidance counselor.  Do not wait until just before a test or until you are totally lost to get help.
